A new page in the TCI in Australia story ..
TWI would like to advise that, as of 30 June 2017, we have passed the mantle for implementing and sustaining the TCI system in Australia on to TACT Training and Consultancy. TACT have assumed responsibility for running the TCI Train-the-trainer and Update courses across all Australian states on a regular basis.

We will miss the many deep connections we have built up with TCI agencies and their folk since TCI was introduced to Australia, but welcome the opportunity to spend more time on other interests. Therapeutic Welfare Interventions will continue to meet our vision of providing specialised psychological consulting, training and program development for agencies supporting children and young people who have experienced stressful life events, have a pervasive developmental disability, sexualised behaviours, and patterns of aggression and violence. In particular, we will continue to offer the Three Pillars of Transforming Care trauma training and be involved with Cornell University in bringing the CARE organisational model for providing therapeutic services for children and families to agencies across Australia.
The Three Pillars of Transforming Care
This training course was developed by Dr Howard Bath with Dr Diana Boswell to provide a practice framework for trauma informed care. It has been widely implemented by out-of-home care providers in Queensland and in other Australian states. The program was recently adopted by the international organisation Save The Children as their core training for programs working with unaccompanied minors across the world.
